Rangiroa-Apataki

Hart am Wind weiter von Rangiroa nach Apataki, wie immer war die Einfahrt in die Lagune durch den Pass beim Hauptort recht einfach, wir hatten dort noch nie Welle (so wie es in Rangiroa oft ist) sondern immer nur Stroemung. Im Pakaka Pass gibt ers ein kleine Einfahrt in den Hafen, schaut etwas schwierig aus wenn man erstmalig dort hineinfaehrt,drinnen dann liegt man ganz ruhig (abgesehen vom Generator der doch recht nervig ist) an einer Boje. Zum einkaufen gibt es einen Supermarkt mit den ueblichen Tuamotuangebot, also Dosen und Tiefkuehlsachen, Alufolie und Klopapier.

Pakaka pass was pretty easy (as always) to enter the lagoon of Apataki. I think we used the pass at least 10 times now and we never had waves there, currents can be strong but never dangerous. If you have a boat with draft below 6ft you can enter the the small harbor (ok it looks a bit strange if you go there for the first time) and there is one mooring in the middle of the small harbour. The generator is loud but ok if you just stay one night. There is a small supermaket within walking distance.
