Schoene Wanderungen auf einer vom Tourismus noch recht verschonten Insel mit unseren Freunden Monika+Hans.

We had a great time hiking in Tilos with our friends Monika+Hans, off season only a few tourists are here now.

Osterfeiertage / Easter holidays

Auch zu uns kam der Osterhase und dann hatten noch eine nette Wanderung mit zwei Schweden in Nisyros.

We had sunny and warm easter holidays and today we had a nice walk in Nisyros with a swedish couple.

Fruehling / spring

Wie versprochen ist unser neuer Windschutz jetzt fertig und rechtzeitig zu den griechischen Osterfeiern werden wir wieder in Nisyros sein. Die fruehlingshaften Blumenwiesen sind wie ein bunter Farbklecks in der sonst doch kargen Landschaft.

The windshield is ready now so we are back in Nisyros for the easter celebrations. Is always nice to see the flowers in Greece and Turkey, even if the weather is still quite cold we enjoy this time of the year.

Astypaleia reloaded

Immer wieder faszinierend die Burg hoch oben am Felsen ueber Astypaleia - und die Admiralin im Hafen der Stadt.

Fascinating again the old Castle on top of the town of Astypaleia, see also the Admiral in the port of the town.

Nisyros + Astypaleia

Wieder einmal - auf der Insel unserer Hochzeitsreise, auch das Hotel gibt es noch. Damals waren wir aber ohne Boot, dafuer mit Rucksack unterwegs.... und wir sind immer noch verzaubert.....

Again at Nisyros and Astypaleia, the island where we spent our honeymoon some years ago, instead by sailboat we had travelled with the rucksack....and we are still inspired....

Tuerkei / Turkey

Wieder hat Malcolm (www.broadbluecharters.com) ganze Arbeit geleistet und die Aenderungen auf der Onotoa gemacht bzw.arrangiert....jetzt ist unsere Ankerkette 80m lang, der Windschutz vom Bimini auf das Cockpitdach ist gemacht, die Motoren haben neue Filter und das neue Ankerlicht ist montiert.

Der Blogeintrag kommt allerdings schon wieder aus Griechenland, da die Tuerkei eine Sperre auf www.Blogspot hat.

Again Malcolm of www.broadbluecharters.com has arranged all the upgrades, so now we got an extension of our anchor chain, the new windshield, the engines got new filters and the anchor light works for the first time ever.

This blog entry now comes from Greece as www.blogspot is blocked in Turkey due to legal disputes with some TV stations.

Lipsi

Lipsi ist eine unserer absoluten Lieblinge, nicht nur weil wir hier immer "Struppi" besuchen, der freut sich immer schon auf uns obwohl er immer angebunden in einer Garageneinfahrt sitzen muss. Sylvia will ihn entfuehren.....Wieder sind wir das einzige Boot im Hafen und wir geniessen die absolute Ruhe.

Lipsi is one of our favourites, not just because of "Struppi" who is always happy to see us, the poor dog is on a short leash in a garage - i think Sylvia wants to hijack him tonight!

We are the only boat in the harbour and enjoy the tranquil silence of the greek spring, not any tourists are here yet.

Chios-Samos

Endlich ist die Onotoa wieder im Wasser und gleich unsere erste Fahrt war 70sm in knapp ueber 10 Stunden von Chios nach Pythagoreon/Samos bei tollem Wind aus der fuer uns richtigen Richtung mit bis zu 35 Knoten (fuer die Experten - das sind 8 Bft).

Natuerlich gibt es vorher einiges zu tun und so war auch wieder unsere kleine Naehmaschine sehr praktisch, Salzwasser und Sonne setzen eben allem hart zu (nochmal fuer die Experten - Syvia naeht den Lazybag).

Finally Onotoa is back in the Aegean sea and with strong winds up to 35 knots (=8 Bft) we sailed down to Samos Island in just 10 hours.

We worked two days to get her ready again and our small sewing machine was great help to get the lazybag repaired.
